I have a king Charles and he snores all the time, anyone have any advice if this is ok or needs to be checked?

no, cavaliers are snorers! they also grunt when you cuddle them or give affection.

you may want to get him checked if........he has a particularly short nose, or if this snoring has just suddenly come on.I have a king Charles and he snores all the time, anyone have any advice if this is ok or needs to be checked?
he needs to be checked out.

he could have a deformation of his nostrils, sinuses or soft palate. or an infection. if so, he'll have other breathing problems when he's running around or excited.

definitely get him checked out, there are surgeries to correct the deformations.I have a king Charles and he snores all the time, anyone have any advice if this is ok or needs to be checked?
~brachycephalic (short snout) dogs are often snorers, sniffler and sneezers. Have him checked to make sure nothing is wrong, but I have a Peke, shih-tzu and 2 shi pups and they all snore. After awhile you will get use to it.

the one thing you have to becareful of is over heating. They don't get enough airflow through their noses to cool their blood like longer snouted dogs do. I keep a fan mozt of the year on, its on the floor behind a wire box hubby made. they get the air, but can't get to close.
I have a beagle and he has snored his entire life. It should be nothing, but you should have him checked. A friend had a beagle that snored also and he had a problem in his sinus passages.
Most blunt faced dogs snore because of how they are made.

Most smashed faced dogs have snoring issues. Get use to it and learn to love it.
