I need some advice i wanna be a fire fighter but i want to know what are the requirements to become one?

It depends on where you are. Many fire departments will hire people who have no training or experience in fire science, but most require some sort of exposure. You could check at the various fire departments near you. Many have a volunteer fire fighter system and will train you.


My son just got his fire science and paramedic degree from a 2 year college. Having both gives him an edge for any opening that comes up. But working as a volunteer also will help a lot. This lets the department know your abilities and dedication. When they have an opening, you have a better chance at being hired as a regular paid employee.
