Going to be fired, need some advice?

I'm a cashier. Today was my 3rd time being late to work. This is my first job. I've been there for not even two months. I'm not sure when or if they will fire me. Will they be giving me a call soon or are they going to make me finish up the rest of the week?

I'm starting to apply for new jobs, but do I have to put this past one on my resume if I don't want to?Going to be fired, need some advice?
You will be fired if you continue to be late. What you need to do is simple, STOP being late! You should be ready to go an hour before your shift starts, and if that means getting up earlier, and changing some things around just do it. Work is important, and you need it. The thing is, you will want to list all prior employment to give you a better shot at obtaining a position.Going to be fired, need some advice?
Most businesses understand that employees are late from time to time for various reasons. However, in your case, since there has been habitual tardiness, they may be wondering if you are a good candidate for the job.

That being said, most employers issue a verbal or written warning to people who are late prior to firing them on the spot. This usually gives the employee a period to re establish their good behavior.

Though your employer should warn you prior to firing you, they may not give you any feed back at all. I would say your best bet is to approach a boss or manager, and explain the situation. Let them know you are worried since your behavior hasn't been top notch, and if you would like to remain in your job, explain how you plan to alter your behavior in the future. They may not mind, or they might tell you it's unacceptable, it's hard to say without knowing your employer's policies. However, this simple conversation, if nothing else, will give you an idea of where your employer stands regarding your tardiness.

Also, you do not have to list this job on your future resumes, though I wouldn't just assume you have lost your current job.

not sure but if they r gonna fire u, im sure they wont wait til the week is over, unless it takes time for their system to register the fact that u were late and for the paperwork to process. most jobs have a warning system where they will warn u or write u up instead of just firing you! and no u dont have to put it on ur resume! if u get fired, just start fresh if u dont want the worry of them giving u a bad reference! you're young, u have time to make up for this mistake and build positive work experience..and just a secret...most jobs like that like cashiers and stores dont even call ur past employers!
If you get fired, learn from this and stop being late. Most people wh are late do so out of some kind of crazy control issue. If you want to stay employeed in the future, don't be late!

**EDIT

And no, you won't need to finish up the week, but make sure they pay you for all the time you are there this week.
no you don't have to put it on your resume, but you will have to explain why you havn't worked for that time, instead talk to the manager and tell them that you know that you have been late and you are going to improve this by getting to work on time from now on.
no you don't have too after all you only worked there for less than a month and you can't use it as a reference anyway who knows maybe they won't fire you if they do you can a find a better higher paying job that's even better than that one you have
