GO TO CLASS! just because other people only show up on test days DOES NOT mean it is OK! Most of those people usually fail! tell her not to be one of them! Also, be social but set limits for herself as far as how much ';going out'; time she should get. Oh and tell her to buy lots of veggies to snack on during study sessions... there is nothing worse than fighting off that freshman 15!!!I need some good advice to give a girl who will be starting college in the fall.?
That's too vague a question to answer in this format.
#1 thing to tell her: The primary goal of college is to do well and get a degree. College will be HARD. Much harder than high school. She will have to put in lots of time, hard work, and effort to succeed. Tell her not to waste the weekends. It's fine to socialize with friends, etc.... but not okay to make a habit of staying out until 3 am.
she'll feel a lot better about it when she sees her friends get excited to go off and live alone :]
Don't party every night, its not that cool.
